Here are some common signs that may suggest it’s time to give your liver some attention:

Dandelion tea

When it comes to herbs that aid in detoxification, one stands out as my personal favorite—the dandelion root. If you’re new to the world of detoxification and looking for a gentle start, dandelion tea is a perfect choice. Not only does it offer a delicious and enjoyable way to incorporate detoxification into your routine, but it also eases you into the process. Herbalists and traditional medicine practitioners have used dandelion for centuries to support liver health and treat various liver-related conditions. Interestingly, preliminary studies have shown that dandelion root can also promote liver health by increasing bile flow.

Black radish juice

Meet the liver-loving superstar found right in your local grocery store—the black radish! This humble root vegetable is a game-changer when it comes to detoxifying our hardworking liver. Packed with essential nutrients and the powerful antioxidant glucoraphasatin, black radish supports the elimination of toxins and promotes a healthy liver function. The best part? It’s readily available, often found in the produce section of your grocery store. So, next time you’re shopping, keep an eye out for these dark-skinned radishes with a unique flavor. They may not be as popular as their red or white counterparts, but their liver-cleansing benefits are worth exploring.

Milk thistle tincture

When it comes to liver detoxification, milk thistle seed stands out as one of the most powerful yet gentle herbs you can find. The seeds of milk thistle are a treasure trove of beneficial compounds that promote liver health and aid in flushing out toxins from the body. Whether you prefer incorporating it into your meals by grinding the seeds or savoring its soothing qualities as a tea, milk thistle offers versatile options for consumption. However, it is most commonly taken in the form of a tincture for maximum effectiveness.

Infusion (whole herb): One large handful or dried leaves and roots per liter of water, boil for 2mn, then let steep for 10 mn.

Infusion (tea bag): Add 1 or 2 tea bags with 1 Cup of boiling water. Steep for 5mn. Drink warm with a bit of honey for taste (optional).

It is important to note that while dandelion tea is generally safe for most people, it may interact with certain medications, such as diuretics and blood thinners. If you have a pre-existing medical condition or are taking medications, it is best to consult with your healthcare provider before consuming dandelion tea.

BLACK RADISH JUICE

Here’s how to make black radish juice and recommended dosage:

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 medium-sized black radishes
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop the black radishes into small pieces.
  2. Juice the black radish pieces using a juicer or blender.
  3. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the black radish juice and mix well.
  4. You can add honey to sweeten the juice if desired.

Dosage: The recommended dosage for black radish juice varies depending on individual needs and health conditions. It’s best to start with a small amount and gradually increase the dosage over time. As a general guideline, 1-2 tablespoons of black radish juice can be taken 2-3 times a day for liver detoxification. It’s important to drink plenty of water throughout the day while doing a liver detox with black radish juice to help flush out toxins from the body.

Another alternative is to take 1 tsp (50 drops) of black radish tincture with lemon juice. Dilute this mixture in a large glass of water.

It’s important to note that black radish juice may cause digestive discomfort or allergic reactions in some individuals. If you experience any adverse effects, stop using black radish juice immediately and consult with your healthcare provider.

There are different ways to get the benefits of milk thistle-

1- You can grind the seeds and add in smoothies or salads & soups.

Dosage: 1 tsp or more per meal

2- You can use whole seeds and brew as a tea

3-The most common way is to use the tincture (see dosage below).

1/4 tsp -1/2 tsp

Daily for 3 months
